Invited as a guest speaker, Colonel FAUGERAS addressed 50 middle-ranking officers from all branches of the Palestinian Security Services, focussing on the different requirements to survey borders and to control border crossings, at the tactical and operational levels, and on the practical aspects of leadership on the medium command level.
As a senior officer of the French Gendarmerie, Colonel FAUGERAS worked all along his career in operational areas, from tactical to strategic level, in particular in the field of criminal investigation, law and order, crowd and riot control, legal advice, intelligence services and security border management. He was appointed as Head of EUBAM Rafah on 25th November 2008.
