On Tuesday, 22 June 2021 The Italian Consul General in Jerusalem Mr. Giuseppe Fedele together with Lieutenant Colonel Stefano Nencioni from the Italian Carabinieri, currently working as the liaison officer for “Missione Addestrativa Italiana” which translates as the Italian Training Mission visited the EUBAM Rafah Premises in Tel Aviv.
Head of Mission EUBAM Mr. Florin Bulgariu received the visiting delegation and briefed the audience on Mission activities as well as the role and functions of the General Administration for Borders and Crossings GABC. Together, Mr. Bulgariu and Mr. Fedele looked into opportunities for widening the scope of existing cooperation and fortifying support during the coming mandate.
In that regard, the Mission is organizing a training with MIADIT on the protection of environment and cultural goods to take place during the coming mandate 2021/2022.
This meeting came among a series of meetings aimed at discussing cooperation activities to boost confidence and build the capacities of the different agencies working under the umbrella of GABC.
