EUBAM Rafah recently concluded a training series on information management for a group of General Administration of Border and Crossings (GABC) female officers. The training was a part of the Mission’s Quick Impact Project (QIP) aimed at preparing GABC female staff members via specialized trainings for senior level management positions. The QIP is a part of a long-term EUBAM Rafah’s efforts dedicated to promotion of gender equality and mainstreaming.
The series of trainings held at the GABC training centre in Jericho focused on topics such as effective internal-external communication, conveying messages to the public, meeting facilitation, self-confidence, social media content creation and news writing, social media management, as well as digital privacy and security. The course was delivered by the local non-governmental organization ‘Women Media and Development (TAM)’
The trainings were highly appreciated by the participants and the senior management of the GABC. The GABC Director General Mr. Nazmi Mhanna opened the series by greeting the trainers and trainees and expressing his full support to the course.
