In coordination with the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange program (TAIEX), EUBAM Rafah organized an activity on the development of a training strategy for its counterparts from the General Administration for Borders and Crossings (GABC).
Three European experts delivered a training to a group of fifteen participants from the different agencies and departments of GABC between the 22 and 26 of January 2023 in Jericho. Over the course of five days, participants learnt about training strategies as a core tool to assess real training needs and to address them properly as well as to disseminate and retain professional knowledge.
This training came as part of the Mission's efforts to support the Palestinian General Administration for Borders and Crossings in defining and setting up its own training strategy and plan. The expert Mission will be soon followed by a second one that will complement the familiarization of participants with the concept of a training strategy and its tools, providing practical advice and an overview on the EU and international standards.
