From 20 February until 25 February 2023, EUBAM Rafah facilitated a study visit for a delegation of the General Administration for Borders and Crossings (GABC) to Budapest.
This visit aimed at identifying areas of cooperation with Hungarian institutions in the field of Integrated Border Management and Training and at boosting the relationship of GABC and the Hungarian counterparts.
The GABC delegation, together with the Integrated Border Management Expert of EUBAM Rafah, visited the Hungarian National Police Headquarter, the Law Enforcement Faculty of the Hungarian University for Public Service, the Police Academy of Adyliget and CEPOL, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training.
The high-level meetings were perceived very positively by GABC, the Hungarian institutions and the Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Agency. All sides agreed upon the goal to further strengthen their cooperation in the field of border management and training.
