EUBAM Rafah Engages with European Leadership Network Members on Operational Challenges and Future Role of the Mission

On 31 October, Nataliya Apostolova, Head of Mission for EUBAM Rafah, met with a delegation of 11 Members of National Parliaments from five EU member states. The meeting focused on the mission’s mandate, current security challenges, operational activities, and its future role in the region.

During the discussion, EUBAM Rafah emphasized its ongoing collaboration with the Palestinian Authority in Jericho and highlighted the strong cooperation with other international partners in advancing security sector reform with Palestinian partners. The Mission further presented its plans and activities considering the evolving political and security landscape.

The delegation expressed strong support for EUBAM Rafah's operational activities and underscored the crucial role the mission plays in addressing the current crisis.

The European Leadership Network (ELN), an independent, non-partisan pan-European network of over 450 leaders, aims to provide practical solutions to pressing political and security challenges.
