On Monday, 16 December 2024, as part of the visit of a European Diplomatic Academy cohort of young diplomats to the Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC) / Civilian Operations Headquarters for civilian CSDP missions, the Head of Mission of EUBAM Rafah, Ms. Nataliya Apostolova, provided an overview of the mission and discussed its current operational challenges while participating online.
Ms. Apostolova furthermore contributed to a productive and engaging roundtable discussion with CPCC Deputy Managing Director, Ms. Henriksson; CPCC Head of Operations, Mr. Holst-Andersen; the Head of EUAM Ukraine, Ambassador Holmboe; the Head of the Civilian Pillar of the EU Security and Defence Initiative in the Gulf of Guinea (GoGI), Colonel Chevet; and the GoGI Military Commander, Commander Claessens.
The meeting provided an opportunity for a dynamic exchange on the key issues and ongoing efforts related to civilian CSDP missions.
