The EUBAM Rafah Head of Mission, Mr Florin Bulgariu and the Director General of the General Administration for Borders and Crossings (GABC), Mr Nazmi Mhanna signed donation agreement for an electric car for passengers with reduced mobility to support their movement within the GABC terminal in Jericho.
This donation is a part of a larger Mission’s project focused on enhancing the capacities of the GABC in applying human rights standards while performing their activities at the borders. In close cooperation with GABC and the Palestinian Union for Disabled People, EUBAM Rafah identified the need to assist the people with reduced mobility to ease their movements within the Jericho terminal as a priority. The donated electric car is a step ahead within the more comprehensive approach that the GABC Administration is applying towards the improvement of the services provided to the Palestinian people crossing the border.
